Founded in 1950 and headquartered in Joliet, Trinity Services is a nonprofit, nonsectarian organization serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities such as autism, mental retardation, and cerebral palsy in 23 communities.

Over the years, Trinity has become the largest provider of CILAs in Illinois and provides a range of residential alternatives including intermittent CILA, 24-hour CILA, and three 16-bed ICF MR/DDs. Trinity serves over 1,500 people annually with a staff of over 1,130 and an annual operating budget of nearly $40 million.

Among the many programs and supports operated by the agency are: a children’s autism program, a school, respite, residential services, adult learning, vocational and supported employment, therapeutic horseback riding and horticulture, and The Family Counseling Center for all of Will and Grundy County, (which also includes bilingual staff to serve a large Hispanic population). Trinity Services also serves persons with serious mental illness in several psychosocial rehabilitation programs which provide intensive individual and group therapy.
